i asked my students last friday what my korean name should be. they came up with kim donna. one of the students insisted that it was bad and that dirty korean girls were called donna. he was the biggest man-whore of the group, and the other students insisted that it was a nice name, rather than a dirty skank name.
i can only wonder what real koreans think of my being kim donna.
at least i dont call myself katie holmes.
(and really, try to imagine having someone tell you their name is cabin. how can you not want to just roll on the ground laughing? give me some wicked props for keeping my composure.)
